Adams Avenue Unplugged, which takes place yearly on historic Adams Avenue in the lovely seaside community of San Diego, is a free musical festival, open to all. This year’s performers will include David Hidalgo, Louie Perez, Mr. Gregory Page, Lisa Sanders, Suzanne Reed, Haunted Windchimes, Bart Davenport, Jeffery Joe Morin, Jeff Berkeley, and not only performers but great foods, all different kinds of arts, crafts, and a beer garden. Tom Brosseau will be back for a solo performance and as part of John Reilly & Friends (featuring Becky Stark, WIllie Watson, Dan Bern, Jerry Roe, and Sebastian Steinberg). It will be held at venue Pehrspace, located in historic Filipinotown, and the night’s performers will include Emily Jane White, Eliza Rickman, Lia Rose, and Tom Brosseau. What shall I expect of the evening’s performance? For starters, a well-dressed lot of performers, which include Becky Stark, Dan Bern, Willie Watson, Tom Brosseau, and of course John Reilly. Songs will range from country to roots folk, amplified around one mic, just like the bad ol’ days. What time, and when? Thursday, March 28th, 2013. 366 North La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles. Doors 7PM. Show to start 8PM sharp. May I bring my kid? Yes, of course. All ages, all faiths, all peoples. Will there be official John Reilly & Friends merchandise for purchase? Good question. The answer is yes. On sale in the Largo lobby will be tee shirts of various sizing and the Third Man Records/ Jack White produced 7″ vinyl Becky and John and John and Tom, containing such songs as “Gonna Lay Down My Old Guitar” and “I’ll Be There”.
